Tis the Time for Shopping Ideas
It snowed this morning. You can’t help but feel Christmasy when that happens, can you?
Of course, it will turn to sludge by 11 am, but while it lasts I’m going to stick on some festive tunes, while I give the house a quick ‘go-over’.
The bag I bought from J Crew arrived yesterday!! I can’t wait to use it, and I tempted to take the wrapping off and do so today as I’m meeting a few friends, but I mustn’t do that. It’s a pressie from my mum (I’ve put money towards it also), so I’ll keep it under the tree.
Just two more weeks to go. Eek! Are you ready? I have just a few more bits to get and I’ve started the food shop. (Sets reminder on phone to visit Waitrose on Sunday – when they’ll have crackers half price!)
There are other reminders around the house. SP started wrapping presents Monday night and the left-over wrapping paper, scissors and sellotape are still lolling around the floor. I’m not moving them! He’s obviously waiting for his second wind to finish it off…..
Can’t lie though, I’m starting to get excited about presents and I’m starting to send SP texts with ideas, just in case, and I’m thinking about getting myself a present! Is that wrong?!
Talking of ideas, I’ve been looking at what’s new for fashionistas out there….not for me of course, I’m just looking…
For all age ranges, I’ve just picked out some treats that I’m sure anyone who loves their fashion wouldn’t mind opening on Christmas morning. See what you think.
Flick through this reel to find some fab faux fur numbers. I’ve seen faux fur everywhere this season and it has come in block colours, stripes, bold mixed colourways and natural shades of course. I’m loving these collars from Ted Baker, the fluffy Mongolian fur style coats in loads of stores and the bright faux found in parkas this year.
Black aviator jackets are the design of choice this season. They started to creep in last year, but now anyone who loves their trends is wearing them. A classic, they would fab on anyone and keep you warm.
I’ve also included the pink coat I like in River Island, just because xxx
Next, I’ve picked out what’s hot in boots and jeans this season.
Red and leopard, not necessarily worn at the same time (though they go so well together) I have in abundance here. This year fashionistas are wearing sock boots, slouchy 80’s knee highs, over the knee and buckle boots are still around. Meanwhile, anything goes with jeans. You can find more gimmicky styles on the high street with sequins and pearls, but for jeans that will last the distance and be a present for life, you can’t beat the more classy high waist skinny, boyfriend (or mom), and straight leg jean. Take a look.
For my last collection of ideas I’ve gone with silk and satin nightwear. Who doesn’t like a little luxury come Christmas? Personally, I would like a pair of pajamas, STEVE! You can find ideas all over the high street and online, but here are a few of my faves.
Just a few ideas, but hopefully it will spark a few more when you’re shopping for your nearest and dearest.
Right, the sludge is coming into it’s own, time to get the knee highs on and hit the shops.
Have a great weekend.
