It’s a Red Alert All-White
I am absolutely not buying anything this month. No. I don’t need anything. I’ve got plenty of clothes for what’s left of summer. I’m going to keep my pennies in the bank and save it for Autumn.
That was until I went in town last weekend and spotted new the togs for Autumn already appearing on the rails.
Of course you can absolutely wait until summer is over and the weather changes, but what if you see something you like now? Do you make a mental note of what you saw where and go back in a month’s time, or buy now?
It’s a chance you take and one that I lost out in this week, when a pair of boots I had added to my ‘favourites’ on a retailer’s website was out of stock two days later when I went back online to buy them. Sometimes you just got to hit the ground running or miss out.
Last Friday I popped into town with my friend and I spotted a pair of white boots. I had already bagged myself a nice pair of black leather snakeskin boots in the Zara sale, so really only gave the boots section a glance. A week later and I’m still thinking about them.
They’re haunting me, but I know if I go back in today I will be even more fed up if they’re sold out. So I’ve taken to looking online for other white options.
Why white? You may well ask, but after buying a pair of white shoes (also in Primark) this summer, which I’ve worn with everything, all summer-long, I think it’s time to grab a pair of snowy white ankle boots for winter. They’ll be eye-catching and stand out against drab winter colours for starters. Just one light piece will lighten up my whole look and they’ll be great with denim (imagine a red top, jean and white boot combo). So, I’m on the hunt.
Also on my radar is a pair of red boots. I wonder if I can buy two for one somewhere?! More obvious, but nevertheless sought after, the red boot is perfect for warming or cooling down your outfit, depending on which shade you choose. Super glam with dresses and a total power trip worn with a black tux, red boots are a good investment any year.
Fancy joining me on a little colour boot action? Here are some ideas that could brighten your mood on the darkest of the winter days to come.
Have a great weekend.
