Jumping on the Bandwagon
A super wearable addition to the wardrobe that started to appear in stores last year and is still very much “in” and can be found in stores, up and down the country this year, is the jumpsuit.
I remember my first jumpsuit. It was red and white polka dots with wide legs. I was working in a PR agency just off Park Street in Bristol and had spotted it in the window of Jigsaw. I didn’t earn oodles of money back then (still don’t) so saved for a few weeks until I could get my hands on it. I loved it so much and wore it to death. I felt very ‘put together’ and apart from heels, didn’t accessorise it with much else. It didn’t need it.
Back to 2017 and I recently tried on a Tu Clothing jumpsuit in Sainsbury’s (you may have seen me in the changing rooms on Instagram Stories) and my friend picked it up for less than a tenner in the sale last week! A fabulous bargain, she’ll wear it loads over the summer. You can match it with a blazer and heels for a night out in the UK and with slides, a spritz of perfume and armful of bangles on foreign shores.
It’s easy to get in on this season’s must-have. Below is a reel of ideas from the high street and online. I love the pink frilly culottes from ASOS. So cute.
Meanwhile, I spotted this jersey jumpsuit in Gap last week and found it so darn compfy, I really love it. Worn with a statement necklace it would look so classy. Whether shopping, working or heading out for drinks, the jumpsuit looks here to stay. Maybe jump on the bandwagon yourself. A stylish look, that’s just so easy.
Have a great weekend.
